Cieffe Filati, Our History
The company was born in 1972 as an embroidery threads supplier for the Pistoia’s province, a Tuscan district of high-quality textile production, and has been family-run ever since.
Step by step, the warehouses have grown by dozens, then by hundreds of square meters, the workforce has grown, as have the production spaces, the direct control on the supply chain, the network of distributors with their warehouses and agents.
In the early 2000s, a station dedicated to Research and Development and one to quality control were added at the company headquarters.
Today led by Maurizio Cecioni, grandson of the founder, Cieffe Filati is known in high fashion as well as among the small and medium-sized Italian and European embroidery and textile companies.
The credit for the current positioning lies in the continuous search for innovative materials and production processes, made while maintaining a strong artisan and family culture in business management.
